Owner/Photographer

My introduction to photography came while taking Journalism and Public Relations in 1997. Up until that point, I had always explored the arts. I was a drummer, loved to draw and was very interested in writing, but up until that point, I hadnt found a real focus. That focus came with my first SLR.

We were all required to purchase an SLR camera for a Photojournalism 101 class. Almost from the moment I picked up that camera, I fell in love with photography. The ability to tell a story with a single image was incredible to me. And being a journalism student, there were plenty of stories to tell.

After school, I found myself moving from job to job, but always retained the passion for photography. Every moment I had I was out taking pictures, and every penny I had went to purchasing film and developing or upgrading equipment.

In the early 2000s I found myself at a point where I just couldnt afford the film and developing, so I stepped away from photography for a short period and concentrated on my family. But that creative urge just wouldnt go away. Eventually I purchased a cheap copy of Photoshop, and began learning how to use it.

This became almost an obsession. For more than 2 years I spent every available minute I had learning how to use this incredibly immense program and take full advantage of all of its features. At first I started by just playing with images downloaded from the internet. Eventually I was able to purchase a film scanner. Within a month or so, I had gone through every piece of 35mm and Medium Format film I had. It was time to purchase a Digital SLR. I havent put it down since.

In early 2007, my team and I began work on the New Horizons Project. The goal of this project was to create a series of images that would truly showcase our ability, and define what an AVB image looked like. In the end, I believe the project was truly a success. You can see the New Horizons images, along with others in the "Art" section of this website.

It is my goal to continue with what was started with the New Horizons Project. Creating stunning images that captivates the viewer. I hope you enjoy what we present to you here, and I thank you for taking the time to look over our work.
